Basketball Recap: Horton Takes a Loss

Horton was the 51-39 winner over Riverside [Wathena/Elwood] when they last played one another last Wednesday, but their luck changed this time around. The Horton Chargers fell 47-39 to the Riverside [Wathena/Elwood] Cyclones on Friday.

Horton's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 6-1 and their overall record down to 7-5. As for Riverside [Wathena/Elwood], their victory bumped their record up to 4-6.

Horton will look to defend their home court on Monday against Valley Falls. Horton is facing Valley Falls at the right time seeing as Valley Falls is stuck on a four-game losing streak. Riverside [Wathena/Elwood] has already played their next match (against Atchison-Maur Hill-Mount Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
