Basketball Recap: Lake Ridge Wins High-Profile Contest Against North Crowley

On Friday, Lake Ridge faced North Crowley in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Lake Ridge Eagles came out on top against the North Crowley Panthers by a score of 59-52. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Eagles.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Lake Ridge to victory, but perhaps none more so than Eze Nwakamma, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten boards. Nwakamma's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Shaqir Pack was another key player, going 5 for 8 on his way to 14 points in addition to eight assists and three steals.

Lake Ridge's victory bumped their record up to 22-2. As for North Crowley, their defeat ended a 17-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 19-4.
