Basketball Game Preview: Granby Comets vs. Norcom Greyhounds

Granby hasn't had much luck against Norcom recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Granby Comets will venture away from home to square off against the Norcom Greyhounds at 5:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Saturday, Granby was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 33-29 to Lake Taylor. The game marked the Comets' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Meanwhile, Norcom took a blow against Manor on Monday, falling 71-37. While losing is never fun, the Greyhounds can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 111th, while the Mustangs are ranked 17th).

This is the second loss in a row for Granby and nudges their season record down to 13-6. As for Norcom, their loss dropped their record down to 11-8.

Granby came up short against Norcom in their previous matchup back in January, falling 51-40. Can Granby avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
