Soccer Game Preview: Arroyo vs. Freedom

The Arroyo Dons are taking a road trip to challenge the Freedom Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Arroyo's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for four straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Arroyo is likely headed into the contest with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Tennyson on Friday. Arroyo lost 4-1 to Tennyson. That's two games in a row now that the Dons have lost by exactly three goals.

Meanwhile, neither Freedom nor Dublin could gain the upper hand on Saturday so the two teams had to settle for a 2-2 draw.

With that draw, Freedom's record moves to 2-9-5. As for Arroyo, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-9-2.

Arroyo suffered a grim 5-0 defeat to Freedom when the teams last played back in December of 2019. Can Arroyo avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
