Baseball Recap: Pickett County Bobcats vs. Clay County Bulldogs
Pickett County dropped their record down to 7-8 on Tuesday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins on the road. They fell just short of the Clay County Bulldogs by a score of 10-8. Gavin Daniels and Elijah Taylor stepped up to the plate in a big way. Daniels went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double, while Taylor went 2-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. Taylor is becoming a predictor of Pickett County's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 2-1 (and 5-7 when he doesn't). Coincidentally, Pickett County and Clay County will both be playing Livingston Academy the next time they take the field. The Bulldogs will head out to face the Wildcats at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Bobcats will host them at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
