Aitkin waltzed into their match on Wednesday with four straight wins... but they left with five. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Crosby-Ironton Rangers a 7-0 shutout. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 19-2 win last Wednesday.

Aitkin's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-6. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Crosby-Ironton, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-14.
