Basketball Recap: Falfurrias Takes a Loss

Falfurrias was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 22nd straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 51-27 to the Santa Gertrudis Academy Lions. The Fightin' Jerseys were probably out for revenge after losing 38-29 to them when the teams met back in January, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Falfurrias' loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Santa Gertrudis Academy, their win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-12.

When Falfurrias and Santa Gertrudis Academy next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Falfurrias will try to stop Bishop's three-game winning streak when the meet at 11:00 a.m. on December 31st. Meanwhile, Santa Gertrudis Academy will try to stop San Diego's four-game winning streak when the meet at 11:30 p.m. on December 31st.
