Softball Recap: Centennial Comes Up Short

Centennial was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They came up short against the Emerson Mavericks, falling 15-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mavericks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-2 back in March.

Centennial's defeat dropped their record down to 7-17. As for Emerson, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-7-1 record this season.

Centennial will square off against Heritage at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Titans are facing the Coyotes at the right time seeing as the Coyotes are stuck on an 18-game losing streak. As for Emerson, they will challenge Liberty at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Redhawks will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something the Mavericks surely won't give up without a fight.
