Justin Buckner turned in yet another pitching appearance with fewer than three walks surrendered on Thursday. He produced his best game of the campaign: he pitched three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. He has become a key player for St. Rita: the team is 5-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 6-14 otherwise.

Buckner's strong effort led St. Rita over DePaul College Prep and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
