Volleyball Recap: Reese Warmke and Zoe Zwerneman Secure Win for Brenham

Brenham and Brentwood Christian faced off in a Battle of the Bears on Friday. The Cubs were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Bears.

Leading Brenham to victory were Zoe Zwerneman and Reese Warmke. Zwerneman had ten digs and six aces, while Warmke had 12 assists and four aces. Those 12 assists gave Warmke a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Brinley Benson, who had three digs and three aces.

The victory got Brenham back to even at 3-3. As for Brentwood Christian, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Brenham has already played their next game, a 3-0 defeat against Glenn on the 15th. As for Brentwood Christian, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Round Rock Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on the 26th.
