Recap: West-Oak vs. Towns County
The West-Oak Warriors fell victim to the Towns County Indians's stalwart defense on Thursday and couldn't make it onto the board. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Indians. West-Oak has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Something new happened on Thursday as Connor Williams saw his first action of the season, playing 60 minutes against West-Oak. Williams made the most of the opportunity, scoring a goal and four steals. A few more games like that and he might be seeing even more time going forward.
West-Oak's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Towns County, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 1-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. West-Oak will take on Pickens at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Towns County will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Crescent at 8:00 p.m. on March 1st.
