East Wake never let their opponents score on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Smithfield-Selma Spartans as they made off with  a  22-0 win. Considering the Warriors have won ten matchups by more than five  runs this season, Thursday's  blowout was nothing new.
 Jaimee Fowler made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound,   pitching two innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't  given up  more than one  hit in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate,  going 2-for-3 with three  runs and one  RBI.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Alissa Flood, who  went 2-for-3 with one  home run, four  runs,  and four  RBI.  Madison Smith was another key player,  going 1-for-3 with two  runs and two  RBI.
 East Wake  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .697. The last time their  OBP was this high was  back in March.
East Wake has  been performing  well recently as they've  won nine of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record  this season. As for Smithfield-Selma,  they are  on  a  32-game losing streak  (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-20.
 East Wake does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Smithfield-Selma, they will face off against Knightdale at 4:00  p.m.  on Friday. The Spartans are facing the Knights at the right time seeing as the Knights are stuck on  a  15-game losing streak.
