 It was a good run, but  Manvel unfortunately witnessed the end of their  six-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Friendswood Mustangs by a score of  2-1. Manvel was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Friendswood apparently hadn't forgotten their  loss the last time these teams played  back in March.
  Ryley Nihart spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered  just two earned runs on nine hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't  pitched less than six  innings in ten consecutive pitching appearances.
 At the plate, Manvel saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Skylar Frederick, who  went 1-for-3 with a  home run.

As for Friendswood, they will head out on the road to  face off against  La Porte at 6:30  p.m.  on Friday.
