Softball Recap: El Camino Real Has No Trouble Against Cleveland

After only one run in their last matchup, El Camino Real made sure to put some runs up on the board against Cleveland on Wednesday. The Royals blew past the Cavaliers 12-2. The Royals might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight contests by six runs or more this season.

The team relied heavily on Amaya Perry, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. Nerissa Winokur was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.

El Camino Real now has a winning record of 10-9. As for Cleveland, their defeat was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-14.

Coincidentally, El Camino Real and Cleveland will both be playing Taft the next time they take the field. The Royals will head out to face the Toreadors at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Cavaliers will host them at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
