Volleyball Recap: Newark Comes Up Short

Newark was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against the ASPIRA Charter Wolves, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Yellowjackets of the 3-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Newark's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for ASPIRA Charter, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-6 record this season.

Newark didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against William Penn on the 2nd. ASPIRA Charter has also already played their next game (against Conrad Science), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
