Basketball Recap: Flandreau Indian Takes a Loss

Flandreau Indian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They took a blow against the Santee Warriors, falling 81-43. The Indians were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 51-25.

Miley Pike continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Santee, going 11 of 23 on her way to 33 points and three steals. The matchup was Pike's fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Aubrinee Tuttle, who almost dropped a double-double on ten points and nine boards.

Flandreau Indian's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Santee, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-4.

Flandreau Indian has already played their next contest, a 74-48 defeat against Oldham-Ramona/R on the 28th. As for Santee, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 65-48 loss against Niobrara/Verdigre on the 1st.
