Baseball Recap: West Boylston Extends Winning Streak to Six

West Boylston waltzed into their contest on Wednesday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They skirted past the Tahanto Regional Stags 9-7. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-2 back in April.

West Boylston pushed their record up to 9-4 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.7 runs over those games. As for Tahanto Regional, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. West Boylston will square off against Lunenburg at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Tahanto Regional, they will challenge Clinton at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. The Stags' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Gaels have averaged an impressive 6.5 runs per game this season.
