Baseball Recap: Roosevelt Comes Up Short

Roosevelt and Hoover pushed the score to 14-6 the last time they played Hoover, but on Friday defenses reigned supreme. The Rough Riders fell just short of the Patriots by a score of 3-1. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Patriots this season, with their most recent defeat being a 14-6 loss on Wednesday.

Roosevelt saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Leonardo Gonzales-Sanchez, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double.

Roosevelt is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 12-9-1. As for Hoover, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 13-8.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Roosevelt is set to challenge their familiar foe Sunnyside at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Hoover will face off against rival McLane at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
