Basketball Game Preview: Perham Yellowjackets vs. Barnesville Trojans

Perham and Barnesville are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2020, but not for long. The Perham Yellowjackets will be playing in front of their home fans against the Barnesville Trojans at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Perham comes in on six and Barnesville on four.

While Perham didn't have the best season last year (they finished 10-17), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Sauk Centre on Saturday, sneaking past 68-65.

Meanwhile, Barnesville won against Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted/Holy Trinity on Saturday with 61 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Saturday. Barnesville walked away with a 61-54 win over Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted. That's two games straight that the Trojans have won by exactly seven points.

Barnesville now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Perham, their victory bumped their record up to 6-1.

Perham and Barnesville were neck-and-neck in their previous meeting back in February, but Perham came up empty-handed after a 77-76 defeat. Can Perham avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
