Game to watch: Steele hosts No. 19 Lake Travis (Austin, Texas), Sept. 2.

Briefly: Steele is 39-5 since Lehnoff took over in 2013. … The Knights have won at least 12 games in each of the last six seasons. … Lumpkin rushed for 1,007 yards and 15 touchdowns in 12 games last season. … Martin accounted for 2,721 yards and 29 TDs in 2015, threw 21 TDs and was intercepted only three times.
