Basketball Game Preview: New Washington Mustangs vs. Christian Academy Warriors

The New Washington Mustangs will face off against the Christian Academy Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.

Last Thursday, New Washington lost to Christian Academy on the road by a 64-46 margin. The Mustangs were down 52-31 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Christian Academy's win came from a few key players New Washington will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Addison Jackson, who went 8 for 14 on her way to 18 points and seven rebounds. That's the most points she has posted since back in December of 2024. Alexus Bryant was another key player, going 7 of 13 en route to 18 points.

Christian Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in four consecutive matchups.

Christian Academy has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 games, which provided a massive bump to their 13-10 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 29.5 points. As for New Washington, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost 12 of their last 14 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-17 record this season.
