            The Perkins Pirates will take on the Clyde Fliers at 4:45  p.m.  on Wednesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Perkins will roll into the  matchup after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any  runs  on Thursday, then bounced right back against South Central  on Friday. The Pirates were the clear victors by  a  19-4 margin over the Trojans. That looming  19-4 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Pirates yet this  season.
 Maycee Bohn tossed a big game,   pitching five innings while giving up just two earned  (and two unearned) runs off   seven  hits.

 At the plate,  Hannah Koelsch was a standout: she got on base  in all five of her plate appearances with one  home run, six  RBI,  and two  runs. The dominant performance also gave  her a new career-high in  hits (three). Another player making a difference was  Natalie Martin, who  got on base  in all four of her plate appearances with one  home run, four  RBI,  and two  runs.
 Perkins  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 14  hits. They are 4-2 when  they post 11 or more  hits.
 Meanwhile, Clyde entered their tilt with Shelby on Monday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They put the hurt on the Whippets with a sharp  7-1 win.
 Perkins' victory was  their third straight on the road, which  pushed their record up to 6-7. The  road  wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 17.0 runs over those games. As for Clyde, their victory bumped their record up to 13-4.
 Perkins took their  win against Clyde  in their previous matchup  back in April of 2024 by a conclusive  10-3 score. Will the Pirates repeat their success,  or do  the Fliers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
