Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Covington). They were the clear victors by a 22-12 margin over the Northridge Polar Bears on Friday. The victory continues a trend for the Buccs in their matchups with the Polar Bears: they've now won three in a row.

Covington's win bumped their record up to 5-6. As for Northridge, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.

Looking ahead, Covington will venture away from home to challenge Troy Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles' pitching crew has only allowed 3.9 runs per game this season, so the Buccs' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Northridge, they have already played their next matchup, a 14-0 victory against Bradford on the 19th.
