Softball Recap: East Central Comes Up Short

Tuesday just wasn't the day for East Central's offense. They fell just short of the Johnson Jaguars by a score of 2-0 on Tuesday. The Hornets were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Jaguars earlier this season, when they won 9-8.

With the defeat, East Central broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 14-9. As for Johnson, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That somehow still isn't as good as their 19-4-1 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. East Central will face off against rival Clemens at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Johnson is set to square off against their familiar foe Judson at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
