Volleyball Recap: Myrtle Beach Seahawks vs. Carolina Forest Panthers
Myrtle Beach was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Carolina Forest Panthers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.
Myrtle Beach took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-9, 25-12, 25-13.
Carolina Forest's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Erion Tabaku led the charge by getting 19 assists and five digs. Tabaku is on a roll when it comes to assists, as he's now posted 13 or more in each of the last six games he's played.
Myrtle Beach's record is now 2-19. As for Carolina Forest, they have been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 13 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-5-1 record this season.
