Baseball Game Preview: Central Wildcats vs. Wilson Warriors

For the second straight game, Central will face off against Wilson. The Wildcats will square off against the Warriors at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Central has four straight victories, Wilson has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Central barely beat Wilson the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Wildcats were the clear victors by a 9-2 margin over the Warriors on Friday. Considering the Wildcats have won eight games by more than six runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

For Wilson's part, they saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bryson Pickens, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Central's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-9. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Wilson, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-22.
