Softball Recap: Austin Takes a Loss

Austin fell victim to Century and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They lost 7-0 to the Panthers. The loss continues a trend for the Packers in their meetings with the Panthers: they've now lost four in a row.

Kaydence Schaefer spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and five unearned) runs on eight hits and racked up seven Ks.

Austin's defeat dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Century, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-7.

Coming up, Austin will square off against Mayo at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Century does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
