Football Recap: Monroe Skates Past Pelham with Ease + How To Watch

There's no place like home for Monroe, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They blew past the Pelham Hornets, posting a 53-6 win. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Golden Tornadoes considering their ten-point performance the match before.

Monroe can attribute much of their success to Keyon Thomas, who threw for 170 yards and a pair of touchdowns while completing 71.4% of his passes, and also rushed for 46 yards.

Monroe's record now sits at 2-3. As for Pelham, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Monroe will square off against Dougherty at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Golden Tornadoes will be up against the Trojans' rather soft defense (which has allowed 33 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
