Softball Recap: Christ Our Rock Lutheran Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Christ Our Rock Lutheran can now relate to. They fell just short of the Dupo Tigers by a score of 2-1 on Friday. The Silver Stallions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Emma Williamson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on five hits and racked up 14 Ks.

On the hitting side, Kylie Nalewajka made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.

Christ Our Rock Lutheran's loss dropped their record down to 15-4. As for Dupo, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-9.

Christ Our Rock Lutheran does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Dupo, they will square off against Calhoun at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Tigers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Warriors have averaged an impressive 7.7 runs per game this season.
