Basketball Recap: Hagerman Starts Season with Defeat at Home + How To Watch

Hagerman unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell just short of the Murtaugh Red Devils by a score of 41-38 on Wednesday. Pirates fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Red Devils since Wednesday.

Hagerman's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Will Mavencamp, who posted 11 points and six boards, and Wyatt Mavencamp, who almost dropped a double-double with ten points and nine rebounds. Another player making a difference was Bear Rebon, who had six points in addition to five rebounds and three steals.

The win got Murtaugh back to even at 1-1.

Coming up, Hagerman is packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will square off against Shoshone at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Murtaugh, they will take on Dietrich at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
