Basketball Recap: Ripley Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Ripley can finally bid farewell to their five-game losing streak dating back to last season thanks to their game on Saturday. They came out on top against the Hoover Huskies by a score of 46-39.

Despite the loss, Hoover still got an impressive performance from Ayva Veltri, who posted 15 points and eight boards. The dominant performance gave Veltri a new career-high in rebounds.

Ripley's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Hoover, they are on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Ripley wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 68-26 defeat against Greenbrier East on the 27th. As for Hoover, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 59-42 victory against Roane County on the 27th.
