Basketball Game Preview: Belmond-Klemme Broncos vs. Lake Mills Bulldogs

The Belmond-Klemme Broncos will venture away from home to challenge the Lake Mills Bulldogs at 6:15 p.m. on Friday.

Belmond-Klemme came up short against Bishop Garrigan on Tuesday, falling 68-46. While losing is never fun, the Broncos can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa basketball rankings (they are ranked 120th, while the Golden Bears are ranked 34th).

Meanwhile, Lake Mills was able to grind out a solid victory over West Hancock on Tuesday, taking the game 44-37.

Lake Mills' win bumped their record up to 7-5. As for Belmond-Klemme, their loss ended a six-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 6-5.

Belmond-Klemme couldn't quite finish off Lake Mills in their previous meeting back in December of 2024 and fell 39-37. Can Belmond-Klemme avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
