Softball Recap: Academy of the Holy a Drops Season-High Score on Tenafly

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Academy of the Holy A). Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Tenafly Tigers a 14-0 shutout on Wednesday. The Angels not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since April 10, 2024 (when they won 16-0).

The win made it two in a row for Academy of the Holy A and bumps their season record up to 3-4. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games. As for Tenafly, their loss was their 18th straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-10.

Looking ahead, Academy of the Holy A will welcome Paramus Catholic at 4:14 p.m. on Thursday. As for Tenafly, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Dwight Morrow at 4:15 p.m. The Tigers are facing the Maroon Raiders at the right time seeing as the Maroon Raiders are stuck on a nine-game losing streak.
