Softball Recap: Brewster Bears vs. Mahopac Wolf Pac

Brewster lost to Mahopac back in May of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Monday. The Bears were the clear victors by a 12-4 margin over the Wolf Pac. With that victory, the Bears brought their scoring average up to 6.4 runs per game.

Arianna Arocho spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on two hits.

On the hitting side, Taylor Slavkin was excellent, going 1-for-5 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Carly Krebs, who went 2-for-5 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Brewster hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They are 3-1 when they post two or more strikeouts.

Brewster's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-6. As for Mahopac, their defeat was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-10.

Coincidentally, Brewster and Mahopac will both be playing Arlington the next time they take the field. The Bears will host the Admirals at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Wolf Pac will head out to face them at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
