Basketball Recap: Rose Bud Comes Up Short

Rose Bud's tournament run continued when they took on Dierks on Saturday. The Rose Bud Ramblers took a 51-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Dierks Outlaws. While losing is never fun, the Ramblers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arkansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 137th, while the Outlaws are ranked 32nd).

Rose Bud has traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-8 record this season. As for Dierks, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 15-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rose Bud will venture away from home to face off against Lisa Academy North at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Dierks, they will square off against Spring Hill at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
