Basketball Recap: Lewiston-Porter's Higher State Rank on Full Display on Saturday

On Saturday, the Lewiston-Porter Lancers earned a 59-52 victory over the East Aurora Blue Devils. Given the Lancers' advantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 338th, while the Blue Devils are ranked 740th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Lewiston-Porter's win bumped their record up to 7-4. As for East Aurora, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-7.

Lewiston-Porter will square off against Niagara-Wheatfield at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Lewiston-Porter is facing Niagara-Wheatfield at the right time seeing as Niagara-Wheatfield is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for East Aurora, they will head out on the road to face off against Depew at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
