Preview: Ocoee Knights vs. Orange Park Raiders
The Ocoee Knights will be playing in front of their home fans against the Orange Park Raiders at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. Ocoee will be looking to keep their six-game home win streak alive.
Last Tuesday, Ocoee escaped with a win against Oak Ridge by the margin of a single free throw, 45-44.
Micah Hannah and Jayla Weiser were among the main playmakers for Ocoee as the former scored 17 points along with three steals and the latter scored 13 points along with five assists and three steals. Hannah is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Paris Triplett, who scored six points along with seven rebounds and four blocks.
Meanwhile, Orange Park's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their sixth straight loss. They fell 52-41 to Tocoi Creek.
Ocoee is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season. As for Orange Park, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-9 record this season.
Ocoee came out on top in a nail-biter against Orange Park in their previous matchup back in December of 2022, sneaking past 48-45. Does Ocoee have another victory up their sleeve, or will Orange Park turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
