Baseball Game Preview: Lafayette Generals vs. McKinley Macks

Lafayette is 0-3 against McKinley since May of 2021 but things could change on Thursday. The Generals will take on the Macks at 4:30 p.m. Lafayette has given up an average of 11.8 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Lafayette lost 23-1 to Hutchinson-Central Tech on Monday. The Generals have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, McKinley entered their tilt with Middle Early College on Monday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They put the hurt on the Kats with a sharp 16-2 win. The Macks might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matchups by seven runs or more this season.

The victory got McKinley back to even at 5-5. As for Lafayette, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Lafayette suffered a grim 14-4 defeat to McKinley in their previous meeting back in April of 2022. Can the Generals avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
