Softball Recap: Mcqueen Drops Season-High Score on Antelope

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask McQueen). They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Antelope Titans on Tuesday, sneaking past 10-9. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Lancers.

Violet Moyao made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Moyao was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one home run.

In other batting news, Vanessa Bein was incredible, firing off two home runs, seven RBI, and three runs while going 4-for-4. That's the most runs she has posted since back in May of 2024. Montana Huitt was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

McQueen always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .581. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

McQueen's record now sits at 12-10. As for Antelope, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-6.

McQueen didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 5-2 victory against Non Varsity Opponent on the 15th. As for Antelope, they have also already played their next game, a 10-0 defeat against Pleasant Valley on the 15th.
