Basketball Recap: Brookings Comes Up Short

Brookings was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 61-46 bruising from the Stevens Raiders. The Bobcats were probably out for revenge after losing 59-38 to them when the teams met back in January of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Brookings' loss dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Stevens, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-6-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Brookings Bobcats take on the Harrisburg Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Harrisburg will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Brookings surely won't give up without a fight. As for Stevens, they will host Rapid City Central at 7:00 p.m. on February 1st.
