Softball Recap: Floresville Takes a Loss

Floresville blew Uvalde out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Friday Uvalde got their revenge. Floresville fell just short of Uvalde by a score of 7-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Tigers/Jaguars have suffered since February 15th.

Macie Talley made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs while going 3-for-4. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in RBI (three). Paislee Harrell was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two RBI.

This is the second loss in a row for Floresville and nudges their season record down to 6-15. Even worse, they were so close so many times: the defeats came by an average of only 1.5 runs. As for Uvalde, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-10-1.

Coincidentally, Floresville and Uvalde will both be playing Carrizo Springs the next time they take the field. Floresville will head out to face Carrizo Springs at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Uvalde will host them at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
