Konley Cova Delivers Best Effort of Season
On Friday, Wheatland got the W thanks in part to Konley Cova playing the best football he has all season. Cova's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 103 rushing yards. He didn't just play on offense: he also picked up three sacks and made seven total tackles (4.0 for loss).
The win for Wheatland keeps them at an undefeated 7-0. Cova and Wheatland will head out to square off against Marysville at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.

Lincoln Williams Has Career-Day on Friday
Sadly, Lincoln Williams posting his best game of the season wasn't enough to lead Bear River over Marysville on Friday. Williams rushed for 200 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.1 yards per carry, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.
Bear River dropped their record down to 5-2 with the loss, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. Williams and Bear River will challenge Colfax at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.

Ogles Posts Huge Game in 28-7 Victory
Oakmont found a leader in Beau Ogles as the team took down Lincoln on Friday. Ogles was dynamite, throwing for 226 yards and two touchdowns on only 16 passes, while also rushing for 84 yards and a touchdown on only six carries. He got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 50 yards.
Oakmont pushed their record up to 5-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Ogles will have a chance to log another big game when he takes on Mira Loma on Friday.

Wheatland Wins Seventh-Straight Thanks to Colton Burns
Colton Burns was instrumental in extending Wheatland's winning streak to seven on Friday. Burns was unstoppable, picking up a sack and making 13 total tackles in addition to snagging two interceptions which he returned one-yard for a touchdown.

A Season-Best Performance from Jaylen Brown Leads Marysville over Bear River
Marysville was led to victory by Jaylen Brown, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Brown rushed for 33 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 138 yards and a touchdown on only ten passes.
Marysville has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 3-4 record this season. Brown and Marysville will host Wheatland at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
