Volleyball Recap: Emmaus' Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Tuesday

Emmaus and Governor Mifflin squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Emmaus had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Mustangs by a score of 3-2. The Hornets' defeat signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.

Emmaus took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 22-25, 24-25, 25-18, 15-10.

Bilaal Kerim paced Emmaus' offense, picking up 11 kills. Kerim got some help from Ben Skekel and his 33 assists. Skekel was also solid from the service line: he led the team with ten aces.

Emmaus' loss dropped their record down to 20-2. As for Governor Mifflin, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 16-1.

Emmaus does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Governor Mifflin, they will challenge Northeastern on Saturday.
