Baseball Recap: Homer Trojans vs. Hanover-Horton Comets

Homer had lost five straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Monday they dropped down to 4-3 to make it six. They lost 8-1 to the Hanover-Horton Comets. The Trojans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Comets apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2025.

Homer saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brock Butler, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base. Austin Nantz also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

As for Hanover-Horton, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-3. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.7 runs over those games.
