Softball Recap: Phillips Takes a Loss

Phillips made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Julian, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Wildcats fell just short of the Jaguars by a score of 12-10 on Tuesday. The Wildcats have struggled against the Jaguars recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Welnesha Hall made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with three stolen bases, three runs, and one triple. That triple marked the first that she has hit this season. Kayla Nolan was another key player, going 1-for-2 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one double.

Phillips' defeat dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Julian, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-0.
