Softball Recap: Cold Springs Gets the Win

Fans were treated to a battle of the Eagles on Monday. Cold Springs came out on top against Vinemont by a score of 10-7. Cold Springs has seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw Vinemont, too.

Aleah Addison was excellent, going 1-for-5 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Brooke Rowan, who scored two runs while going 1-for-4.

The win made it two in a row for Cold Springs and bumps their season record up to 6-8-1. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.0 runs over those games. As for Vinemont, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cold Springs will welcome Fairview at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Vinemont, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Locust Fork at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
