Baseball Game Preview: Calhoun County Saints vs. Williston-Elko Blue Devils

The Calhoun County Saints are taking a road trip to face off against the Williston-Elko Blue Devils at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Calhoun County has given up an average of 9.1 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Friday just wasn't the day for Calhoun County's offense. They came up short against Horse Creek Academy on Friday, falling 11-0. The match marked the first time this year in which the Saints were not able to get on the board.

Calhoun County saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Chris Glover, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Meanwhile, Williston-Elko also failed to score in their most recent game. They lost 10-0 to Barnwell on Thursday. That's two games in a row now that the Blue Devils have lost by exactly ten runs.

This is the second loss in a row for Williston-Elko and nudges their season record down to 3-6. As for Calhoun County, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Calhoun County might still be hurting after the 11-1 loss they got from Williston-Elko in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can Calhoun County avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
