Basketball Recap: Oakbrook Prep Takes a Loss

On Thursday, the Oakbrook Prep Knights came up short against the Carolina Day Wildcats and fell 52-43. The Knights have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Carolina Day to victory, but perhaps none more so than Layla Hunter, who went 7 for 17 on her way to 17 points in addition to eight rebounds and six assists. Another player making a difference was Selah Frisbee, who went 5 of 10 en route to 12 points and three steals.

Oakbrook Prep's loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Carolina Day, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 14-5.

Oakbrook Prep won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Our Lady of the Rosary at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Oakbrook Prep is facing Our Lady of the Rosary at the right time seeing as Our Lady of the Rosary is stuck on an eight-game losing streak. As for Carolina Day, they and Tri-Cities Christian will face off at 6:00 p.m. on Friday without much rest having both just played. Tri-Cities Christian is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 54.8 points per game this season.
