Mott took a five-goal defeat the last time they faced off against Walled Lake Northern, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Corsairs had just enough and edged out the Knights 2-1 on Thursday. Winning may never get old, but Mott sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Mott pushed their record up to 6-0-3 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. As for Walled Lake Northern, their loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1-2 and their overall record down to 5-3-2.

Coming up, Mott will welcome South Lyon East at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Walled Lake Northern, they are taking a road trip to challenge Cranbrook Kingswood at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Walled Lake Northern are facing Cranbrook Kingswood at the right time seeing as Cranbrook Kingswood are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
