Douglas County West got themselves on the board against Arlington on Tuesday, but Arlington never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Eagles with a sharp 7-0 victory. The win continues a trend for the Falcon in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won three in a row.

The result came thanks to Colton Willmott's shutout, as he gave up just four hits.

On the hitting side, Ashton Harlow was a standout: he went 1-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That hit was his first of the season. Jackson Schuiteman was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.

The victory was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 3-5. As for Arlington, they now have a losing record of 4-5.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Douglas County West will challenge rival Guardian Angels Central Catholic/West Point Beemer at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Arlington is set to face off against their familiar foe Buena Vista at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for the Eagles and five for the Bison.
